THE EFFECT OF TOO MUCH SALT IN FOODS

Salt(Sodium) is essential to our bodies but too much salt intake is dangerous.Normally, the kidneys control the level of salt in the body by excreting it through urine. If we take in too much salt, the kidneys cannot keep up and it ends up in our blood stream.Salt attracts water. When too much salt is in the blood, the salt draws water into the blood.More water in the blood increases the volume of the blood hence raising the pressure of the blood..Reduce your daily salt intake to control or prevent high blood pressure.
